The 2024 contest will take place on Friday 24th May 2024. Between the wars there were usually only seven or eight contests. Last year Tameside hosted 9, and these were attended by at least 15,000 people. More than 60 bands took part and the total prize fund was well over £20k. Contests were held at venues in Ashton, Denton, Droylsden.
